I just got back from my seventh date with Hannah. We ended up just walking around the City Creek Mall shopping center. We were originally going to go to an Indian restaurant called saffron Valley, but they were closed during the time that we had intended to go. we stopped by a small Indian food restaurant in the shopping center instead.
I am glad that I am writing this now instead of about 30 minutes ago. I thought that the date didn’t go spectacularly well, but Hannah messaged me over discord and told me that it was the highlight of her day. The reason I thought it didn’t go too well is that she did not seem very engaged in the conversations and didn’t ask me any questions throughout the night.
I tried to indulge her in conversation and asked questions, hoping for reciprocation, but didn’t receive as much as I expected. I found out that her dad works at a company called RDP and her mother was a stay at home mom her whole life, but does have a bachelors degree and developmental education. She works as a part-time teachers assistant at a public elementary school.
I have forgotten if I have wrote this in my journal, but last Saturday I was disheartened to find out that she had other friends over even though I had offered if she wanted to do anything and was confused. I figured out tonight that the two friends that she had over on the autism spectrum, and she was helping them with issues concerning their D&D campaign. I am glad to learn that it wasn’t just disinterested on my part.
I was hoping to buy her a Valentine’s Day gift since that is tomorrow. We went into a jewelry shop that sold stuff of the occult nature, and she pointed out a few designs that she liked. I offered to buy her a snake pendant, but she declined. Later on in the night, she mentioned that she wants a brand new Hydro flask, and I think that will be on my gift list for her.
