[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]So, I have come to the conclusion that I have a bit of a problem accepting compliments and praise. Now, this wasn’t a sudden realization, I have always known this. Throughout my life, I have always felt just a tinge inadequacy in what I do; which is why even minor criticism in my work always makes me feel like garbage because somewhere in the back of my head, I was thinking that too.
That said, I have always asked the people in my life to tell me if they see any faults in what I am doing because I want to be able to learn and grow. I know that this is a fundamental in being able to develop socially because it helps others build trust in you and you learn how they see the world.
I always crave to be complimented or recognized by others but then every time it happens, I feel hollow. I sometimes go back and forth thinking between if they know I didn’t do it right or if they are just doing it for their own benefit.
For me, I think that doing it right was always expected from the beginning so getting praised for it was just over the top? I don’t know…
I just wish for once that I could feel happy about doing something for someone that I know someone else couldn’t have done for them.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
