I am writing this sitting in my Jacuzzi in the backyard at 25°. I don’t know if I have written in this journal yet about the Jacuzzi that I built, but the house that I rent doesn’t allow bodies of water bigger than a bathtub. I went to tractor supply and bought a fiberglass horse trough and made a Jacuzzi out of it using spare parts! I sit in it every night, it’s where I meditate and relax before going to bed.
Hopefully, I’ll start remembering to write in my journal while I’m in it!
This week between Christmas and New Year’s I did not take off of work, but so many people in my office did that I have no work to do.
I spent the majority of today playing Rimworld but did have time to go into the garage and trim some wood from pallets, hopefully making it usable. Pallet wood is awful and splintery and cracked…
Near the end of the day, I visited my grandmother at her house to take some measurements of the countertop for the remodeling she is having done in the kitchen.
I have been chatting back-and-forth with Hannah on Discord for about a month now. She is 23 years old and lives in Clinton, Utah. It is quite a drive for both of us so we have only met up three times. She is the oldest of four kids; girl, boy, boy, girl. She is pursuing a creative writing major just like my youngest sister, Evelyn. She currently works as a grant draft writer. We have a lot in common, which I think is a plus!
For some reason, my mind is hesitating towards actively pursuing her. I have always had a little bit of trouble seeing anyone physically attractive and I think that is what is stunting me. There have only ever been a few girls in my life whom I’ve instantly been attracted to physically, and unfortunately, Hannah is not one of them at the moment.
Our conversations have gone swimmingly, and we have had basically no disagreements whatsoever. I think I’m going to take her out on a date again this week. I will follow up with how it goes!
